California Museum Kicks Off New Summer Soiree Series
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — July 7, 2022: Event features local vendors, music, and
exhibit tours.
The California Museum, in partnership with The Creative Space, is excited to announce a new Summer Soiree Series in its spacious Constitution Wall courtyard, launching July 21, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 pm. Happening every third Thursday between July and September, this family-friendly gathering supports small businesses and highlights exhibits celebrating the diversity of California. Festivities include approximately 20 local vendors, food and craft beer for purchase, music by DJ Jerry Schultz, local artists, exhibit tours and more.
Each event centers on a theme, with the kickoff celebrating Asian-American and Pacific Islander heritage. Events on August 18, 2022, and September 18, 2022, will celebrate women-owned businesses and California pop culture, respectively. Each theme ties in with integral aspects of the California Museum. July’s attendees can find unique jewelry, stickers, art, home goods and more created by Asian-Owned small businesses, including IN Creations, Kandelita Company, Wada Art, Wild Valley Offerings and Yoyo Designz, to name a few. They’ll also get a chance to hear from the Museum docents as they explore exhibits such as “Gold Mountain: Chinese Californian Stories” and “Uprooted: Japanese Americans during WWII.”
Tickets may be reserved at https://californiamuseum.org/event/summer-soiree-series. Limited quantities of tickets also will be available at the door. Guests arriving between 4-5 pm get early access to vendor booths and museum exhibits, plus $2 off beer tickets purchased during that hour.
For the safety of all guests, masks are required indoors. Please visit https://californiamuseum.org/covid-19 for our current policies.
