California Hall of Fame

Since 2006 the California Hall of Fame has celebrated the Golden State’s legends and trailblazers who embody California’s innovative spirit and whose achievements have changed the state, the nation and the world. The official award is presented by the Governor and First Partner to inductees selected for outstanding achievement in the arts, business and labor, entertainment, food and wine, literature, music, public service, science and sports.

The California Hall of Fame is the California Museum’s signature program, supporting its mission of education, and is the premise of exhibitions that inspire visitors to make a mark on history. The Governor and First Partner recognize honorees virtually and in an annual induction ceremony held at the California Museum.
