Docent on Duty

Steve Sasaki, an expert docent at the Museum, would love to share his knowledge with you! Join him in “Uprooted: An American Story” at the times below to hear about his family’s experiences of incarceration during World War II. Steve offers a Q&A as you pass through, or a full guided exhibit tour on topics such as coming to America, life in the incarceration camps, and returning home after WWII.

Doreen Wong, one of our fabulous docents, leads tours of her favorite California Museum exhibit, “Gold Mountain: Chinese Californian Stories.” Doreen enjoys discussing her upbringing in the Greater Sacramento area as a Chinese Californian, military history, her family connections, and more. Offered at the times below, her tour is free with the price of admission and is available on a first-come first-served basis for up to 20 attendees.
