The California Museum will Temporarily Close to the Public Starting at 5 P.M. on Friday, March 13
Galleries closed to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 after consideration of social distancing recommendations
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — March 13, 2020: Today, the California Museum announced that it will be closed to the public starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and remain closed at least through Friday, March 20, 2020. The decision was made to protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers, staff and the communities the Museum serves, after careful consideration of public health authorities’ recommendations on social distancing. Galleries will reopen as soon as the public health emergency has subsided.
The Museum’s Board of Trustees and staff are committed to helping curb the outbreak and will continue to monitor the situation. As the situation continues to unfold, updates will be published on the Museum’s website. For more information, visit https://californiamuseum.org/covid-19.
