Parking
On-street parking is available in metered on street spaces during the Museum’s regular business hours Tuesday through Sunday. On weekdays and Saturdays, parking is also available in the hourly garage located at 1500 10th Street across the street from the Museum (now accepts credit card in addition to cash).
Public Transportation
The Museum is located at the Archives Plaza Light Rail stop. Please visit Sacramento Regional Transit’s online trip planning portal for schedules and fares.
Out-of-town Visitors
Amtrak is a convenient alternative to driving for many visitors who are planning a trip to the Museum from various locations across Northern California. From the Sacramento Amtrak train station located at 4th and I Streets, passengers may transfer to Sacramento Regional Transit’s Light Rail and take the Gold Line to the Archives Plaza stop at 10th and O Streets, which is a 12 block ride.
