Celebrate Women’s History Month with Buy One, Get One Admission at the California Museum
SACRAMENTO, CA — March 4, 2025: This March, the California Museum invites visitors to celebrate Women’s History Month with a special Buy One, Get One Free admission offer, providing the perfect opportunity to explore the inspiring contributions of California women featured throughout the Museum.
“Since 2004 the California Museum has had a particular focus on honoring the state’s remarkable women,” said Executive Director, Amanda Meeker. “While the Museum has evolved since then, our exhibits continue to highlight the contributions of women and underrepresented groups to the state’s history and culture. We encourage the public to visit in March to celebrate the inspiring California women who have shaped our state, nation, and the world.”
Visitors can begin their journey at Women Inspire, which highlights the stories of more than 250 trailblazing women from the Golden State who have shaped history. Spanning from the 1700s to today, the exhibit reflects on the ongoing struggle for equality and the lasting influence women have made in a variety of fields.
Next, guests can experience Our War Too: Women in Service, a groundbreaking special exhibit honoring the nearly 350,000 American women who answered the call to serve their country during World War II. Made up of unique and colorful artifacts from The National WWII Museum’s collection, the exhibit explores the efforts, struggles, and accomplishments of these servicewomen, the impacts of which extend into the present day.
Beyond these exhibits, the Museum offers compelling stories of women’s achievements throughout its galleries, making it an ideal destination for those looking to reflect on and celebrate the vital role of women in history.
The Women’s History Month special is available throughout March. Visitors can book in advance using code Women25 at checkout or mention the promotion for walk-up admission.
